About me
Hi, I’m Sarah, let me tell you a bit more about me.
I have struggled with my weight for a lot of my adult life, constantly fluctuating, moving onto the next fad diet, not exercising and hoping that eating 1000 calories a day would sort me out. It did in the short term, but it wasn’t sustainable and as soon as I started eating ‘normally’ again I would put it all back on...and more! Then the process would start again.
Working in A&E during the pandemic, seeing how short life is, gave me the kick I needed. Enough was enough! I was the biggest, laziest and unhealthiest I had ever been. I had to make a change and I had to do it now! So that’s what I did. I started doing some online HITT classes, educated myself about the importance of a diet that is effective and not restrictive and the importance of staying consistently active, not just doing your workout and then sitting down for the rest of the day! Fast forward a couple of years, I was two stone lighter but I still wasn’t happy! I needed something new. I had been researching and discovered the benefits of strength training. I was intrigued, but I didn’t know where to start. I saw an ad for a local gym offering small group personal training, I went and I was hooked! I very quickly saw changes in myself that I didn’t know were possible. I was looking slimmer but eating more than ever! How was that possible?!
I quickly realised that this was what I had been missing. Lifting weights that I never thought was possible gave me a thrill. It wasn’t scary and I certainly wasn’t looking like a muscle man! I was feeling great, mentally and physically. After about a year of strength training, it became apparent that this is what i wanted to do. I wanted to teach people what I know, I wanted to help people, who, like me were struggling with mental health, diets and exercising. I wanted to empower others and help them to feelthe way I do. I wanted them to love to train and look after their body. After all, it’s the only one we’ve got
So here I am, April 2024, realising my dream. I am here for you. I want to help you fall in love with fitness, I want you to feel good, I want to celebrate with you when you can lift more than your body weight off the floor! I will always be in your corner, cheering you on. If you are wanting to make that change, let me guide you. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. A portable personal trainer is what you get when you sign up to my online coaching app. Work out where you want, when you want. Perfect if you are short on time, or have irregular working patterns.
You will get a personalised programme based on your individual goals, fitness levels and, available time. I will guide you on proper form and technique by providing you easy to follow demonstration videos and explanations so that you can be confident in using gym equipment safely and effectively. I want to help you to develop sustainable, lifelong habits so that you can enjoy freedom while being healthy and active, building yourself a strong future.
